walking with yourself @ camino primitivo

Do you love hiking or are you looking to try multi-day walks? Escape your current life and recharge with new energy from nature. You might be hiking alone, but on the Camino, you're never truly alone. You're supported by all the people who have gone before you and those who will come after you. Be inspired in a new environment where you'll meet people from all corners of the world with personalities you wouldn't normally encounter.

The Camino Primitivo is an excellent introductory walk, even if you're not sure if you enjoy walking. You can start your walk from our albergue in La Espina or from Oviedo, arriving at our place after three days of hiking. We'd love to welcome you at the beginning of your Camino to let you experience the true feeling of being a pilgrim! The friendly and judgment-free atmosphere is incredibly pleasant; here you can truly be yourself.

The positive effects of walking are noticeable after just 2 to 3 days. You sleep better, your head feels lighter, and you gain more self-confidence. That's why you can book this trip for as little as 5 days, 3 of which will be walking. We'll discuss together how many kilometers you'll walk each day and which stages you'll cover. Personal contact and attention are important to us.

Before you leave, we'll contact you and provide you with a packing list and tips to help you get the most out of your trip! This trip can also be booked with coaching.

This is why you want to walk this route

On the Camino Primitivo you feel the magic of the Camino to the fullest, as the Celts did before you!

This oldest pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela is also known as the Wild or Green Way because of its rugged mountain landscapes. You can walk this Camino in two weeks, but don't be fooled by the mountains along the way. If you enjoy a physical challenge, this is the path for you!

You'll start your walk in the beautiful city of Oviedo. From here, you'll walk 306 km to Santiago de Compostela. After Oviedo, you'll immediately immerse yourself in nature and tranquility. You'll walk through small villages that will transport you back in time. On day 6, you'll cross the stunning Route de Hospitale mountain pass, or you can walk via Polle de la Allande if you prefer a more leisurely pace. You'll pass the medieval city of Lugo with its magnificent city walls, and in Melide, you'll join the walkers of the Camino Francés.

Still not ready after Santiago and longing for a rebirth? Then walk on for three to four days to Finisterre (Fin de Terre), "the end of the world." Here you'll enjoy the most beautiful sunset over the sea and feel like a new person.
